EAGLES VII – the best fighting show in Europe!!! In the evening of November 4th, the Manej Arena audience was very tense; the fights came out as expected by all spectators: Competitive, spectacular and entertaining. As per usual, the tournament was divided in 2 parts – EAGLES VII Elimination Tournament and EAGLES VII Fighting Championship.
The first part was opened by Nicolai Mezdrea\’s duel against Dumitru Cioban. The first round begins with a change, Mezdrea tries to impose his fighting, but Ciobanu decides to conduct his game by transferring the duel to the ground in the second round, where he ends it by strangulation.
The second fight in the up to 71 kg category between, Costea Gnusareov and Dima Bostan went through all three rounds. In the first round, both struggled, but were on the same level. In the second and third round Dima began to take in more blows, although some of his counterattacks delivered damage to Gnusareov, they did not lead to an end. Costea used this to his advantage, so Gnusareov wins unanimously.
In the third fight of the first part, in the up to 74 kg category, the Moldovan MMA veteran, Oleg Craciun fought against the Belarusian fighter, Ivan Zhvirblya. The first round was completely on Oleg’s side. The second one showed that he was a bit tired, and picked up some blows from which he lost his balance and could not fight back. The fight was stopped. The Belarusian fighter won ahead of schedule.
The fourth fight of the first part in the 80 kg division. Our Moldovan fighter, Vasile Suprovici – against the Spanish fighter of Moroccan descent, Tarik Lamagali. Vasea conducted a recon mission and already in the middle of the first round he finished the Spanish fighter. Suprovici won ahead of schedule.
The fifth fight of the first part in the 62 kg weight category. The representative of Belarus, Maxim Rzheuski and Gheorghe Lupu from Moldova enter the octagon. Just by walking to the cage Lupu astonished the crowd, he came covered with a real wolf fur and a wolf’s head. Very impressive. Corresponding to the exit, he wins on the second minute by TKO.
The last fight of the first part was a rematch between Daniel Filipski and Radu Mihaita in the up to 70 kg division. Filipski started by scouting the territory and did not rush into the fight. He studied the opponent and trapped him in a strangle maneuver and forced him to surrender. He repaid Radu with a taste of his own medicine.
Well, the first part was just excellent, after a short break started the second part of EAGLES VII Fighting Championship, the Main Event of which was, of course, the battle for the belt and title.
The second part of the show was opened by a fight in the up to 70 kg category between Catalin Casaru from Romania and the Belarusian fighter Mikhail Bondar. Two disproportional rounds. Bondar in no way could inflict his fighting, even though he is higher, and looks stronger. Casaru is shorter, but delivered excellent attacks working both standing up and on the mat. In the middle of the third round, Bondar attacked and planned on finishing being on top, but Catalin successfully defended himself and counterattacked. Casaru unanimously wins.
The second duel of the second part was the confrontation between the Russian Eslemesov and our fighter Nicolai Scorohod in the up to 84kg category. In the first round, Nicolai threw a lot of punches, passes and combinations, though at the end of the first round he was strangle caught, but Eslemesov did not finish the maneuver as the gong sounded. In the second round, Scorohod tries to fight stand-up style, but Eslemesov takes him to the floor where in the mount position simply beats our fighter. But Scorohod’s power of will should be envied!!! He escapes and already on top, throws punches at Eslesmesov, but falls on a triangle!!! At the fifth minute he lost to Arslan.
The third fight of the second part was Imran Kumyshev from Russia against Bogdan Barbu from Romania. Up to 62 kg division. Very intense beginning. Imran pounces on Barbu apparently wanting to make up for his last loss. But Barbu, with a clever right hand blow in the jaw, sends Kumyshev to the mat and successfully finishes him. Imran is in knockout!!! Despite that, he immediately came to his senses and probably wanted to continue the battle from resentment. But Bogdan won!!! What a spectacular fight!
61.2 kg category, fourth fight of the second part. Intezar Babanyazov from Turkmenistan against our champion Mihail Sirbu. To be noted that Sirbu is a real contender and champion. He did not respond at all to his opponent’s indecent and threatening gestures, but simply did his job, which in the third round, was crowned with an early victory. Misha punished the defiant Turkmen fighter by strangling him from behind.
Fifth fight of the second part. One of the most anticipated duels. Heavyweight Division. Moldavian heavyweight Alexander Romanov – against the Uzbek fighter Khusanov Ravshankhon. A little research and struggle. And now Romanov is already in a mount position beating the Uzbek fighter into the floor like a hammer. He even started to hit him with both hands at once! A quick victory and our heavyweight is right in front of the title fight! The next match Romanov will have is for the title.
The sixth fight of the second part and the final fight of the evening. The title fight in the up to 77 kg division, between Luca Poclit and Serghei Barbarosa. The fight to which both athletes went through great difficulty and effort. After the official anthem of the Republic of Moldova, the fighters began their work. Five rounds of confrontation, five rounds of unwavering will and character. We must pay tribute to both fighters, they showed persistence and character. But, nevertheless, youth overcame the experience. By judges’ decision, the EAGLES champion in the up to 77 kg category is Luca Poclit. All the spectators and viewers remained in excellent mood with a positivity charge.
