Kiril «Marseilles Hooligans» Abidi (born February 25, 1976) – winner of the French championship on kickboxing and world champion in muay-tai. His road to fame started when he began to speak in the K-1 in 2000, caused an unexpected defeat in the first knockout round of the legendary Peter Aertsu. 

Biography and Career Center 

Cyril Abidi was born in the north of Marseille in a poor Moroccan family. When he was 6 years old, my mom sent it to engage in judo, and that the child is not pulled through the streets. It was a struggle for four years until it began to take karate lessons, striving to be like his idol Bruce Lee. In 18 years, he opened a Thai boxing, and in 20 years became the champion of France in the form of combat. 

In 1999 was his first fight in K-1. It was a fight against Peter Mazhstorovicha in Zurich, Switzerland, who won a unanimous decision Kiril judges. Later in 2000 he made a name for himself, winning two games in succession in the first round of the famous Dutch fighter Peter Aertsa. Only in their third meeting in the finals of the World Grand Prix K-1 2000 in Tokyo, Aerts was able to take revenge – he won the bout after the third round unanimous decision of the judges. 

Abidi Fight against Frenchman Jerome Le Banner in the World Grand Prix K-1 2005 in Paris, which Cyril lost by TKO, is considered one of the greatest duels in the history of K-1. He was held on 27 May 2005.
