Moldavian freestyle wrestler Petr Yanulov is one step away from the gold medal of the European Championship held these days in Bucharest. Yanulov made his way to the final of the weight category up to 86 kg, alternately defeating Romanian Mihai Palagia, Israeli Uri Kalashnikov and Turk Fatih Erdin.
Tonight, in the final bout, Yanulov will fight for the champion title with Vladislav Valiev from Russia. Two other Moldavian freestyle wrestlers stopped a step away from the medal. Maxim Sekultsan lost the fight for „bronze” in the weight category up to 65 kg to the representative of Russia Nachyn Kuular.
In weight to 97 kg, Nikolai Cheban lost to Georgian Elizbar Odikadze. At the European Championships in Bucharest, Moldova is represented by 22 wrestlers.
