Vitalie Matei is a true veteran of K-1, demonstrating character, courage, and endurance at the world and national championships for many years. He is a multiple winner of world Grand Prix tournaments and holds championship titles. He is married and raises two wonderful children, enjoying the unconditional support of his family and loved ones in achieving his goals. But for him, sports and gym colleagues are his second family, which helps him prepare for fights. So, he has found his harmony for development and improvement. For Vitalie, of course, the main fight is still ahead, namely on September 23, 2023, the fight for the FEA CHAMPIONSHIP LIGHTWEIGHT title and championship belt against the fighter from Romania, Calin Petrisor. The intrigue for this belt has been going on for almost two years. In March 2021, Matei won the final four, thereby securing the right to a title fight. At that time, he defeated the representative of Turkey, Erdem Taha Dinçer, in the first semi-final, and won against Stanislav Kazantsev in the final. Despite his age (37 years), Matei is in excellent shape and ready for the fight of his life.
It should be noted that he has a good sense of humor and perceives any situation realistically, as it is.
