Tsotne Rogava is one of the most prominent heavyweight fighters from the post-Soviet space. Starting his career in K-1 and Muay Thai, he quickly made a name for himself as a serious fighter with powerful striking technique, excellent physical conditioning, and a true warrior spirit. Today, he is confidently climbing to new heights in professional boxing, proving he is capable of much more.
The Beginning: Muay Thai and K-1.
Rogava began his fighting career in 2009, and since then, his name has become recognized on the international stage. He is:
A multiple-time European and World champion in Muay Thai,
A titleholder in several prestigious kickboxing promotions,
A finalist in major K-1 tournaments.
One of the key moments in his kickboxing career was participating in the FEA CHAMPIONSHIP tournaments. On September 30, 2017, Rogava defeated Colin George.
And on October 6, 2018, during the FEA World Grand Prix, Tsotne beat Lentiev in the semifinal, but lost in the final, after an extra round, by judges’ decision to global K-1 star Roman Kryklia. Despite the loss, his performance was highly praised, and he became the FEA CHAMPIONSHIP vice-champion.
In total, Rogava fought 21 professional K-1 rules bouts, winning 13 of them, consistently demonstrating high-level skill and resilience against top-level opponents.
Transition to Professional Boxing.
Tsotne Rogava made his professional boxing debut in April 2021, knocking out Croatian Petar Mrvalj in the first round. That bout marked the beginning of a new chapter in his career.
Since then, he has fought 11 matches, winning all 11, 8 of them by knockout. His transition to boxing has been not only successful but convincing: he adapted quickly to the new rules and began showing noticeable progress with each fight.
WBC USA Championship Title.
On September 28, 2024, Rogava achieved one of the major milestones in his boxing career — he won the WBC USA heavyweight title by defeating experienced American Alexander Flores. The fight lasted the full 10 rounds, and the judges unanimously gave the victory to Rogava with scores of:
98-91,
97-93,
99-90.
It was a dominant performance that cemented his status as a serious contender in the heavyweight division.
Participation in the WBC Grand Prix
In April 2025, Tsotne took part in the prestigious WBC Grand Prix held in Saudi Arabia. In the tournament’s first round, he faced Australian Llis Clark and won by technical knockout in the second round, once again proving that his power and experience from K-1 and Muay Thai translate perfectly to the boxing ring.
Tsotne Rogava is a new-generation fighter who shows that professional sports are for those unafraid of change and ready to adapt. His achievements in kickboxing and Muay Thai — and now in boxing — are the result of years of hard work, discipline, and genuine passion for martial arts.
His professional boxing journey is just beginning, and at this pace, we will surely hear about many more big victories from Tsotne Rogava on the world stage.
