Asdren Gashi: From FEA to GLORY – the journey of a kickboxer to the world stage

16.04.2025

Asdren Gashi is a heavyweight fighter of Albanian origin, representing Belgium. His path to the international scene began in Moldova, through the FEA Championship project, where he made his mark as early as 2019. That year, he reached the final of the FEA World Grand Prix in Chișinău and became the runner-up, losing only to Mihajlo Kecojevic. It was a brilliant start to his professional career.

Later, he found success in the Bulgarian SENSHI league, where he defeated notable opponents such as Sinan Cagala and Kadir Yildirim. These victories propelled him to GLORY Kickboxing — one of the most prestigious kickboxing organizations in the world.

Just a week ago, Asdren Gashi claimed victory in his debut fight within the major GLORY Kickboxing project “Last Heavyweight Standing”, a multi-stage tournament series that will culminate in a grand finale at the end of the year.

The “Last Heavyweight Standing” project features 32 of the best heavyweight fighters from around the world. Throughout the year, they will compete in several bouts, and by the end, the top eight will face off for the ultimate title. It’s an ambitious project inspired by the legendary K-1 Grand Prix — a format that once defined kickboxing history.

Asdren has a twin brother, Luigj Gashi, who is also a professional kickboxer and a participant in the same 32-man tournament. Even more impressively, both brothers won their respective fights, proving that the Gashi family is a force to be reckoned with.

Starting from the Moldovan FEA project, Asdren Gashi is now part of the global kickboxing elite. His success is further proof that the FEA Championship is a gateway to the world stage.
