Alexandr Romanov Out of February 19th UFC Fight Against Ilir Latifi

Undefeated heavyweight Alexandr Romanov has been pulled from his February 19th UFC bout against Ilir Latifi. News of the canceled bout was first reported by Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.

The fight was scheduled to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

It is not known at the moment why Romanov withdrew from his fight. Latifi is reportedly going to get a new booking in March.

The fight was set to give Romanov a chance to earn his fifth UFC win. He has put together four wins since joining the promotion in 2020. This includes a win in May 2021, stopping Jared Vanderaa in the second round of a fight.

Latifi snapped a three-fight losing streak in his last appearance, defeating Tanner Boser via split decision in June. The fight was Latifi’s first win since moving up to heavyweight in 2020.

Lightweights Rafael Fiziev and Rafael dos Anjos are currently set to headline UFC’s February 19th.
