Андрей Гросу - тренерство это не работа.

– Andrew, in 2014 you become the best coach in the best sports Federation of Moldova – this is an undoubted success. Remember, what was the past year for you personally and for «Thai Boxing Club»?

– 2014 was the second successful year for us: a lot of competition, many victories  done a huge amount of work. This is good, because the more productive work – the more positive results. Of course, there were defeats, but it is also an experience.

In early 2014, the President of the Association of FEA, Mr. Dorin Damir suggested run over  to the  «Thai Boxing Club» Cristian Dorel. I knew that this serious-minded
fighter, and set  goal to bring it to a higher level. Ahead  a lot of work if we want to win  the strongest fighters. The last battle against Petrosian showed that Dorel technically and physically able to work against strong opponents , just need the experience of fighting.

Another goal was – „return” of Stepa Kyrlig. In late-2013,Stepan won of heavyweight tournament.  Of course it is a pity that Kyrlig lost on December 20. This heavy weight, where one punch can solve everything. The main thing that Stepan realized the mistake and hopefully it will not happen again

Of course, I want to note the progress of Maxim Bolotov. We aim to improve his physical fitness and raise the level of boxing. In the latter aspect, we were greatly helped Alex Timoshkov, formerly one of the best boxers of Moldova, and now – the coach. Maxim spoke at the Championship of Moldova boxing, where he became the second.

– Tell us about amateur athletes «Thai Boxing Club». In 2014. Three of our fighters from the Moldova national team won three medals at the European Championships in the K-1, and this – no doubt the result of …

– Our fighters-lovers – are the future professionals, the next generation of Moldovan K-1. I am sure that theirs waiting for a great future. But it will only be if they are to train hard, work on yourself, gain experience.

First of all, in this regard, we note Nicholas Caraus. In 2014 he made a big leap. He had already won the Championship of Ukraine on Thai boxing, was third at the European Championships in Thai boxing, won the European Championships in the K-1, not to mention the championship of Moldova. The result of his efforts, was also the reward Federation K-1, as „Discovery of the Year in the Moldovan K-1.” For me, working with Nicky – a pleasure. This athlete, who you give yourself 100%, and he gives you a return of 100%, and even find somewhere a bit more.

– And finally, the last question: Do you like your job?

– Coaching is not a job.  This is a very important part of my life, and I am happy that in this me I support my family  and friends.
