President of the Republic of Moldova addressed the Open Championship CIS Kickboxing.

President
Vladimir Voronin told the participants in the open championship of the
Commonwealth of Independent States, Eastern Kickboxing their preferences
in the field of sports.

«I like kickboxing – it teaches these men to protect and give a decent
response in a difficult situation. I am pleased to welcome you in
Chisinau. I wish you success », – appealed to the athletes in his speech
at the opening tournament of the President.

Then,
for almost an hour and a half head of state watched the fight, which
took place in the ring, placed in a polyvalent hall of the State
University of Physical Culture and Sports, although technically some
participants were quite modest.

«We are just beginning the promotion of this sport. We still have a lot
of work », – said President Moldavskaia eastern Kickboxing Federation,
world champion in muay-tai Eugene Musalimov. The National Federation was
established last year.

In the
championship consisted of about 200 athletes from six countries:
Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Armenia, Georgia and Moldova. Provohodili
competitions in various age and weight categories and in different
sections. First winners were the representatives of the owners of the
tournament: Alexander Аркуш of Hincesti, Maxim GOUDYMA from Tiraspol,
Cristian Cristea from Chisinau. As specified organizers east kickboxing
techniques include various types of sports: boxing, wrestling, mikst
Veit, oriental arts.
