Moldavian fighters departed to European Grappling Championship in Bucharest.
With the support of the Union of Contact Sports Federations of the Republic of Moldova (UFSC), a team was formed to participate at the European Grappling Championship, which will take place between April 4th and April 7th in Bucharest.
The team included EAGLES project fighters, such as Grigore Panfilii, Dumitru Capmari, Igor Besleaga and the current champion of the heavyweight division, Alexander Romanov.
„The grappling championship will involve the participation of a large number of athletes, I am sure that our fighters will bring us only gold awards”, said President of the Moldovan Wrestling Federation, Ion Gheorghiu.
„I would like to note the fact that the European Wrestling Championship among seniors will take place in Bucharest from April 8th to April 14th, in which our Moldovan athlete, Anastasia Nikita will perform, for her this will be another step in the qualification for the Olympic Games ” – declared Dorin Damir, president of the Union of Contact Sports Federations of the Republic of Moldova (UFSC).
